Vegas
Need I say more?
I returned after midnight last night from 4 days in the city-of-sin. Pretty accurate if you ask me. Not that we partook in it, but there sure was a lot of opportunity if you were interested.
One thing is for sure, I totally buy into the “dry heat” claim. On Saturday we stalked out reserved nicely our chairs at the pool around 8:30 AM and I was there until about three. It was 103°. By 10am. There is no way that I could have stayed in the sun/shade of a palm tree for 6.5 hours if there had been a lick of humidity. Just would not have happened.
I did however, burn the soles of my feet walking on the concrete from my chair to the pool. About 3 feet away. And use an entire tube of chapstick. I know, it is hard to feel bad for me, but I had never had that happen before. It was 103° after all.
It was a great weekend and I am sure I will have lots of pictures to share soon. Vegas is a place I said I would like to visit someday, and I am glad that I did. It is not a place I think is really for me though. And I am Ok with that!
It was great to see Liz and hang out with friends old and new-there were 10 of us all together. It was amazing to sit at the pool and only worry about which gossip magazine I was going to read next and how much sunscreen I had on as opposed to how much EVERYONE had on. I read an amazing book while I was there and it made the ride home seem like a flash. That and chatting it up with Marcie.
I learned that it is physically impossible to corral 10 grown women to do anything at the same time, including sleep since we were all on EST.
It was good to get home and hug Matt and the girls and I think he may have even had fun over the weekend-sshh, don’t let him know I told you.
Of course we were back to the whining and fighting by about 10 this morning, but it was all good. It was great to be home.

not at all!! I am just saying that it was interesting to have everyone on another time schedule-no one kept me awake
Also, I was amazed that even though there were no children, we were all awake like they were there in the am!
Sorry you had a tough time getting home-glad you are safe and sound on the island!
