wow-its early.
it has been incredibly hot a humid here for the past week and i am wiped out. This coupled with the migraine i have had since thursday makes me feel like a wet noodle. seriously. yesterday i took the girls for a long ride (read:at least 30 minutes!) to get pizza that is about 2 minutes away and it was amazing how much better we were doing with everyone strapped into their own seats and being blasted by the ac. including me.
we have a very busy day today, but a good one-church, party for one of maya’s china cousins and matt is playing in a contemporary youth service at 6. we are going to go and the girls are excited to hear “dad and mr.joel play god songs”.
we also have vbs this week and this will be the first year that the girls attend-and the first year that i am more of a volunteer than just the roaming photographer. should be interesting. i told my friend that is directing that i would do anything that is not the nursery, kitchen or where maya can see me. it will be interesting to see where i end up.
in addition, we have continued to radically purge our belongings-matt got rid of about 60 dvd’s last night. no lie. whole seasons of shows-he was on a 70’s show kick for a while there. and stargate. all. eight. seasons. glory! we are planning a massive yard sale so i hope that we will fare well. the woman across the street had one yesterday and only made $70 but we always manage to do just fine. i am sure that will be a post in itself!
lastly, this is my two year blogging anniversary. it was actually yesterday, but i cannot imagine that i have been posting my life for complete strangers to read for two years now. and that i have had so many visitors, so few comments-come on out and say hi!

Hey there! Glad to see you are making it out of the heat. Come over and play in the AC with us some time soon. I am so proud of the purge…we have been trying to do it all summer. We promised ourselves we would have a yard sale this year (nothing has happened yet)…good luck I’m sure you will do well.

we got rid of some DVDs too, lots of them, seems we buy and never watch.
tons of people come in my office for acupuncture for migraines… they swear by it… you should try it!

jess-the purge has not come without help-i think i would hire out marcie. it was great to have someone there who does not have an attachment to your stuff-let me know if you would like me to be that for you
the worst part is that the upstairs has ac in each room, but we can only be that close to each other for so long-i will take you up on the offer!
tara-i have heard wonderful things about acupuncture for migraines-i was just with someone today who has it on a regular basis-whether she has a migraine or not and she really thinks of it as preventative. sorry about the yard sale traffic-will let you know!

maybe I SHOULD start a business! Ha! I’m so sorry to hear about the migraine and I know how much you love heat and humidity. We have been doing lots of family stuff this week and since I received some horrendous news yesterday, I am about family-d (new word) OUT. I’m still in shock and my mother hasn’t even been told yet. So it’s been really fun talking with her. Anyway, I hear 2nd doesn’t have any jellies, maybe we can give that a shot! I hope today went well!!
